Dry Divers

dry-diversFor once the weather gods were against us! Our weekend in Eyemouth was however testament to what British divers are all about. Beginning with another radio 2 shout out, We met up on the A1 for a bite to eat at the oak inn. Then off up north to our splendid accommodation. The home arms hotel is an amazing place to stay with luxury rooms and Gary and Zoe are wonderful hosts.

We awoke on Saturday to force 5 winds, swollen sea and chilly temps. But not to be downhearted we opted for shooting and archery instead! We had a good laugh, especially at the creative deployment of arrows by yours truly 🙂 Terry Manton was hero with not one , but TWO victory medals! Then off to the ship hotel for dinner and drinks.

Sunday morning brought flat seas and slight breeze, and unfortunately thick, impenetrable fog. ( I blame Paul, I think the fog came from his arse!) 😉 So following a stroll around town we departed. A few desperate divers dunked in at Ellerton lake. Paul tried twins for the first time and whilst the viz wasn’t great at least the sun finally came out.
